Who We Are
EKO Farmers Appeals Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited is a sustainable project of LAGOS APPEALS PROJECT to provide innovative funds to all agricultural businesses in Lagos State.
Our History
APPEALS, Agro Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support – is a six-year project developed by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) in collaboration with the World Bank and other stakeholders.
The Project is in line with the Agricultural Promotion Policy (APP) 2016-2020 of the Federal Government of Nigeria, also known as the Green Alternative, which built on the legacy of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA); and plans to support policy thrusts on Food Security, Local Production, Job Creation and Economic Diversification.
The policy thrust of the Green Alternative has three key thematic areas: Productivity Enhancement, Crowding in Private Investment and FMARD Institutional Realignment. The Project is supporting the government policy thrust and priorities for the agricultural sector across all the three thematic areas of the APP, and is also focusing more on boosting agricultural productivity and improving farmers’ linkages with agro processors.
The project aims at supporting the transition of small subsistence farmers’ production system (farming 1-5 ha) to a market oriented agricultural undertaking, and supporting middle size farmers (5-10 ha) to address constraints facing them and enhancing their productivity as well as effective participation in the Value Chains.
The project will scale up the Business Alliance Model, successfully implemented under Commercial Agriculture Development Project (CADP).

Our Activities
Our activities as Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited are:- Mobilising and registering individual farmers, farmers group all over Lagos Lagos for a fee.
- Renewal of annual dues of member.
- Accepting members monthly compulsory savings.
- Accepting members compulsory deposit for shares.
- Accepting investments from members.
- Sourcing for grants both domestic and offshore for members.
- Sales of loan forms, development levies and accepting fines.
- Appraisals and granting of micro loans, investment loans, assets loans and emergency loans.
Products
We have a range of products our members can subscribe to according to their financial strength.
SAVINGS PLAN
This plan is compulsory for all members, it helps us become financially secure and provide a safety net in case of an emergency.
LOANS
Credit facility in form of loans are given to members at a very low interest rates. Types of Loan includes: Normal Loan, Commodity Loan, Land Loan, Christmas/Salah Loan.
PURCHASES
Consumable and non-consumable commodities are sold to members at competitive wholesale price.
